Harshdeep Kaur

Harshdeep Kaur

’The Queen of Sufi’ presents an evening of Sufi classics and Bollywood hits.

Harshdeep Kaur – one of the leading Indian singers of her generation and described by Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan as the reigning monarch of Sufi – performs songs from across her career with a full band. But no matter what she’s singing, seeing Harshdeep live is a mesmerising, transcendental experience as she showcases her striking vocal range.

Harshdeep has established herself as a leading playback singer for Bollywood soundtracks, working with A R Rahman and performing on some of the biggest Bollywood hits of the 21st century, and including Katiya Karun from Rockstar, Heer from Jab Tak Hai Jaan and many more. She is also the first female to win two talent show singing titles in India and one of the few Indian singers to work in Hollywood, gaining Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations for her work on Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours. Now an established presence playing concerts worldwide, she featured at the Manchester International Festival in 2017.
