Ahmad Jamal – Cancelled

Ahmad Jamal wearing his shades

Unfortunately Mr Jamal has been advised by his doctors against flying for the foreseeable future, and as a result this concert has been cancelled. Ticket-holders will be contacted in due course.

One of the great figures in Jazz piano performs a rare London show; ‘at once frisky, funny and funky as hell’ (The Guardian).

Whether conjuring magical shapes from the standard repertoire or exploring his own delicately-wrought original songs, Ahmad Jamal has entranced audiences with the subtleties of light, shade and space and his instinctive command of groove for decades. 2017 saw a new album – Marseille – which confirmed him as an artist who, well into his 80s, continues to create music at the very highest level.
