Jeremy Denk: Mozart - the late sonatas

Milton Court Artist-in-Residence

Headshot of Jeremy Denk

For pianist Jeremy Denk, Mozart’s late sonatas are charged with wonder; performed by him, they’ll contain multitudes.

Simple to the ear but fiendish for the fingers, Mozart’s piano works are famously too easy for children and too difficult for artists. Jeremy will make short shrift of that paradox, coupling his own blend of expressive musicality to spectacular keyboard gymnastics for this elegant, intimate programme.

As our 2017-18 Milton Court Artist-in-Residence, this first of four concerts pushes open the door to the wonderful musical world of keyboard-philosopher and MacArthur 'Genius' Fellow Jeremy Denk.
