Revisit a Classic: Princes and Princesses (PG*)

Framed Film Festival 2018

Princes and Princesses

A titan of animation, Michel Ocelot creates an enchanting world of princes and princesses from lands near and far.

Michel Ocelot – maker of the Kirkou films, Azur and Asmar and Tales of the Night – creates beautifully intricate silhouettes to tell short stories of princes and princesses, of daring-do and distant lands.

Bringing to mind the work of Lotte Reiniger, this is a rare opportunity to see one of Ocelot’s early works not released theatrically in the UK on the big screen.

Reza Ben Gajra gives a lively introduction to the animation techniques that Ocelot uses to create his fantastical onscreen stories.

France 2000, Dir Michel Ocelot 70 min

Headsets will be available to children, subtitles will be read out loud by a voice over artist

Adults can only come if they’re bringing a child, and children can only come along if accompanied by an adult. If you’re over 18, we’re afraid being a ‘big kid’ doesn’t count.
