Learn to illustrate through paper collage in this tactile workshop with Utensils0.

Paper illustrator Hannah Miles of Utensils0 leads this hands–on workshop, taking participants through her specialist techniques of paper collage and hand–cutting.

This class takes inspiration from the Barbican's iconic conservatory, with bright, botanical colours and a range of textured materials.

About the maker

Hannah Miles is a Midlands based Paper Illustrator who works by hand to create layered works as well as 3D paper crafted scenes.She studied BA (Hons) Graphic Design at The Cass in London, which is where she first combined her love of hand crafts with her design work. Her final major project comprised of a 3D interactive paper installation, earning her Best in Show and a Multi-Disciplinary Design Award.

She is a member of the Paper Artist Collective who proudly represent members from all over the world, as well as the Association of Illustrators.

The Barbican Shop is located over two levels on Level G at the bottom of the Silk Street entrance ramp, opposite The Curve gallery, or can be accessed from Level -1.
