Julian Anderson chamber music

BBC SO Total Immersion: Julian Anderson

A picture of Julian Anderson writing at the piano

Guildhall musicians reveal Julian Anderson’s musical voice on a smaller scale, exploring both the breadth as well as the depth of his compositional output.

Anderson has always moved between musical genres during his compositional life, following an orchestral work with a choral one, a chamber piece with one for just a single instrument. It keeps his language fresh and vital, and maintains originality and novelty for every musical encounter. Guildhall students, always musicians to watch, reveal Anderson’s musical voice on a smaller scale.
