Sithunyiwe

Abel Selaocoe & Friends

An image of Mthuthuzeli November in black and white

A new dance work by Mthuthuzeli November channels the deep spirituality of South Africa with music by Abel Selaocoe, Nduduzo Makhathini and Mbuso Khoza

‘Sithunyiwe’ means we have been sent by our ancestors to invigorate the spirit of those that are around us. Selaocoe describes this new project with choreographer Mthuthu November and the Bantu Ensemble as following ‘ a child-like surrender to the instincts of our bodies and how we hear'. Mthuthuzeli November (Ballet Black, Royal Ballet, Stormzy, The Chemical Brothers) presents his dance company, working with music by Mbuso Khoza, Abel Selaocoe and Nduduzo Makhathini, performed by the Bantu Ensemble led by Rakhi Singh,  joined by Gontse Makhene, Sidiki Dembélé and friends.
