Alfred Brendel: a Musical Celebration

In this celebratory concert on what would have been Alfred Brendel’s 95th birthday, musician friends from several generations gather to honour his legacy.

Sir Simon Rattle conducts a unique orchestra of musicians close to Brendel, and the programme features works by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert. Performers include Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Lisa Batiashvili, Adrian Brendel, Dame Imogen Cooper, Lucy Crowe, Till Fellner, Paul Lewis, Sir András Schiff, Dame Harriet Walter and the Takács Quartet, amongst others.
