Dialled In, an artist-led platform showcasing the depths of South Asian creativity, announce their return to the Barbican with a powerful night of deep listening and raw expression from Ustad Noor Bakhsh, Jaubi, and Amrit Kaur in the Barbican Hall. Across one evening, audiences can expect experimental, classical, and soul-inflected sounds from across South Asia and the diaspora, as the spotlight shines on these three transformative live acts.
For one night only, we welcome to the stage Ustad Noor Bakhsh – a master of the benju and one of the most captivating figures in Baloch folk music today. Hailing from the village of Sindhi Paso in Pasni, Balochistan, Ustad Noor Bakhsh has been playing music for decades, but only began touring internationally in 2023 at the age of 78. His sound is steeped in the deep-rooted traditions of Baloch music, yet it’s electrifying and wholly his own – raw, transcendent, and utterly mesmerising. This rare UK appearance promises to be an unforgettable and profoundly moving performance.
Hailing from Lahore, Pakistan, Ustad Noor Baksh is joined by the acclaimed instrumental group Jaubi. Blending spiritual jazz, Hindustani classical music and hip-hop, Jaubi has received critical acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork, Rolling Stone and The Guardian. Following the release of their second album A Sound Heart (Riaz Records, 2024), the group returns to London with an expanded live setup and renewed purpose, fusing improvisation with heartfelt storytelling through sound.
North London singer-songwriter and sarangi player Amrit Kaur completes the bill. Kaur’s music blends vulnerability, Sikh spirituality and a bold stage presence and her live sets have become a talking point across the UK festival circuit. Praised by the legendary producer Rick Rubin and celebrated for her fluid sound, Kaur traverses soul, R&B and Punjabi folk.
Audiences can expect a night that moves across tempo, tone and tradition from meditative instrumentals and jazz improvisations to powerful vocals in a carefully curated experience showcasing South Asian artistry at its most intricate and diverse.

Tickets from £25 plus booking fee
British trio Mammal Hands return to the Barbican to present a special evening of music from their acclaimed catalogue. Following their memorable visit in 2024, the trio return to bring their hypnotic blend of jazz, contemporary classical, folk and minimalism to the Hall on 29 April 2026.
Formed in Norwich in 2012, Mammal Hands have forged their own path away from the musical mainstream with their unique sound. In 2024, founder members and brothers, Jordan & Nick Smart, were joined by (former GoGo Penguin) drummer Rob Turner, bringing his eclectic rhythms and propulsive energy into the band’s immersive and hypnotic sound world. This new line up has just recorded the band's sixth album, to be released in spring 2026 and audiences at the Barbican can expect to hear this exciting new music, alongside classic pieces from their previous five albums released on Gondwana Records.
Mammal Hands’ intense and mesmerising live performances have earned them a strong reputation as a live band and enabled them to tour the world extensively, performing in Japan, China, the USA, Thailand and across Europe. Beyond the Barbican, landmark live performances have included shows at Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie, Montreux Jazz Festival, Köln Philharmonie, La Cigale Paris, Montreal Jazz Festival, Athens Technopolis and Unit Tokyo.
