World Design Congress

Design for Planet

World Design Congress Ambassadors

The World Design Congress returns to London for the first time in 60 years – convening global leaders, radical thinkers, and visionary creators under one roof to shape the future through design.

This global event invites designers and design thinkers to come together under the Design Council’s flagship ‘Design for Planet’ theme – leading the way for design to be harnessed as a key industry in facing the planetary crisis.

Speakers will include designer Thomas Heatherwick, Earthshot prize winner Charlot Magayi, designer and musician Brian Eno, international economist Marianna Mazzucato, and architect Indy Johar, as well as keynote speaker Lord Norman Foster.

Audiences are invited to explore provocative themes designed to inspire, challenge and mobilise audiences. Panel sessions will highlight harnessing nature-positive materials; driving systemic change through zero-emission design solutions; biodiversity as a blueprint for resilient and regenerative design; and how industry partnerships can reshape our industries.
