Join us after hours and get behind the scenes of RE/SISTERS, Julianknxx and Ranjani Shettar at an evening of art, talks, drinks and workshops.

Explore two new exhibitions RE/SISTERS: A Lens on Gender and Ecology and Julianknxx: Chorus in Rememory of Flight after hours at this Members' Late.

Explore the Conservatory with a drink and marvel at spectacular suspended sculptures that form the new commission Ranjani Shettar: Cloud songs on the horizon. Get creative at a banner-making or poetry-writing workshop led by Art from Heart. Join a drumming performance and perform your poems at an open mic. Hear from the experts at curator talks, browse the Shop with a 20% discount and more.

This event is open to Members and Members Plus and up to three guests. Guests will require their own ticket. 

The event will run 6-9.30pm; the exhibitions will open at 6:30pm.

RE/SISTERS: A Lens on Gender and Ecology

Art Gallery, 6.30-9pm

A major group exhibition exploring the relationship between gender and ecology, highlighting the systemic links between the oppression of women and the degradation of the planet.

Julianknxx: Chorus in Rememory of Flight

Curve, 6.30-9pm (Members-only view from 7pm)

Poet, artist and filmmaker Julianknxx explores themes of inheritance, loss and belonging as he crosses the boundaries between written word, music and visual art.

Ranjani Shettar: Cloud songs on the horizon

Conservatory, 6-9.30pm

Marvel at five new, large-scale suspended sculptures across the Conservatory space. Shettar’s sculptures are each handcrafted by the artist and draw inspiration from the complexity of nature – using a range of materials and techniques that have been adapted from traditional Indian crafts.

Conservatory

Location
The Barbican Conservatory is located on Level 3, if you’re coming from inside the main Barbican building.

From the Barbican highwalks, follow signs to the ‘Barbican Centre’. Walking from Barbican tube station, you’ll see a steps with ‘Art Gallery’ above them, these will lead you up to the Sculpture Court where you'll see a sign for the Conservatory.
