Oppenheimer sits in a room full of men wearing 1940s suits

Christopher Nolan directs Cillian Murphy as Robert J Oppenheimer, the man who invented the atomic bomb.

Joining a spectacular canon which includes Tenet, Dunkirk, Interstellar, Inception and The Dark Knight trilogy, Christopher Nolan jumps back in time to 1945 to bring us this epic thriller. As the Second World War drags on, scientist Robert J. Oppenheimer (Cilian Murphy) finds himself in a different kind of battle as he races against the Nazis to develop the atomic bomb - a weapon capable of ending the conflict.

Based on the true story, Oppenheimer explores world-changing events and their aftermath as never before.

Emily Blunt stars alongside Murphy as his wife, the biologist and botanist Kitty Oppenheimer. Also with Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr, Florence Pugh and Benny Safdie.
