Joep Beving

Contemporary classical composer Joep Beving returns to his piano solo roots with Hermetism, performed as a live audio-visual performance in collaboration with contemporary artist, Boris Acket.

Pianist Joep Beving, audiovisual artists Boris Acket and Merijn Versnel collaborate on 'Hermetism Light Sculpture', a project built around Beving's new album, Hermetism.

Inspired by ancient philosophy, Beving’s latest album explores universal ideas. Written during the pandemic in an age of fear and polarisation, Hermetism blends poignant melancholy with an offer of hope, spanning twelve new tracks recorded on Beving’s cherished Schimmel piano.

Sharing a fascination for the spiritual, the unknown and for auditive and visual experiences, both Beving and Acket take their art to experiential levels that transcend their own disciplines, blending music with visual installations to draw the audience into one synergic experience.
