Join Assistant Curator of Postwar Modern, Charlotte Flint, for a tour of the exhibition, focusing on some of the show’s highlights.

Postwar Modern: New Art in Britain 1945-65 is a revelatory new take on art in Britain after the Second World War, a period when artists had to make sense of an entirely altered world. Focusing on ‘the new’, the exhibition features 48 artists and around 200 works of painting, sculpture, photography, collage and installation.

Michal Goldschmidt is an Assistant Curator at Tate Britain and she was Curatorial Assistant at the Barbican Art Gallery on Postwar Modern: New Art in Britain 1945-1965. She has previously held research and curatorial positions at the Rhode Island School of Design Museum and Tate, and in 2020 she completed her PhD in history of art and architecture at Brown University, Providence, specialising in interwar modernism and the art of the British Empire.
