This programme showcases this year’s Oscar-nominated live action shorts from around the world, representing some of the best new filmmakers and emerging talent.

Brotherhood
Mohamed – a shepherd living in rural Tunisia with his family – is shaken when his oldest son Malik returns home after a long journey with a mysterious new wife.

Nefta Football Club
Two young brothers come across a donkey in the desert. Strangely, the animal is wearing headphones over its ears.

Saria
The tale of two inseparable orphaned sisters, Saria and Ximena, as they fight against daily abuse and unimaginable hardship at Virgen de La Asuncion Safe Home in Guatemala.

The Neighbors' Window
Alli, a mother of young children, has grown frustrated with her daily routine and husband. But her life is shaken up when two twenty-somethings move in next door.

A Sister
At an emergency call centre a late-night operator receives an unusual call. Listening to the shaky voice of a woman, it becomes clear she's in a dangerous situation.
