The contemporary folk band performs their record The Livelong Day with an expanded line-up and special guests Shirley Collins and caroline.

Lankum blend alternative folk and psychedelia to cement their reputation as one of the most talked about groups to emerge from Ireland in decades. The Dublin four piece – brothers Ian Lynch, Daragh Lynch alongside Cormac Mac Diarmada and Radie Peat – call the record a ‘songbook for the people’. Featuring reworkings of folk standards such as ‘The Wild Rover’ and ‘Katie Cruel’, they honour the sacredness of traditional Irish songs, but allow them to metamorphose, to grow and breathe, alongside originals written by the band.

London-based eight-piece caroline open the evening, with influences from midwestern emo, folk, minimalism and dance. Recently signed to Rough Trade, they are currently working on their debut album. Legendary folk singer Shirley Collins also makes a special guest appearance alongside long-term collaborator Ian Kearey.
