Classical Music 2023–24
Dive in to our new Classical Music season and a new series of joyous musical experiences at the Barbican.
With four world-class orchestra and ensembles calling us home, our concerts are unrivalled in their variety and quality. And together we're creating musical experiences you won't want to miss, whether that's an exploration of music by trailblazing women, a multimedia performance of a choral classic or a concert that pairs minimalism with Baroque music performed on African strings.
You can feast your ears on performances from some of the world's finest musicians, including the likes of Evgeny Kissin, Joyce DiDonato, Maxim Vengerov, Leonidas Kavakos, Khatia Buniatishvili, Natalie Dessay, Sheku and Isata Kanneh-Mason and Jean-Yves Thibaudet, orchestras such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Bayerisches Staatsorchester, an Artist Spotlight series with cellist Abel Selaocoe and a Milton Court residency with clarinettist Anthony McGill.
