End of the World and Hard-Boiled Wonderland

The first stage adaptation of End of the World and Hard-Boiled Wonderland, the internationally popular novel by Japanese author Haruki Murakami comes to our stage in 2026.
Following its opening in Japan in January 2026, the production will come to the Barbican Theatre in October 2026 as part of a world tour.
Adapted for the stage by Ako Takahashi, directed and choreographed by Philippe Decouflé and starring Tatsuya Fujiwara (Death Note, Battle Royale), the performance sees the two parallel world's of Murakami's much loved novel brought to life on stage, through inventive direction and a brilliant creative team.
