Dance Umbrella Festival 2025

The international dance festival returns this year with an exhilarating programme of events across the centre.
See two UK premieres in dance in a double bill in The Pit, as Stockholm-based Australian artist and Cullberg dancer Lilian Steiner presents Siren Dance, a mesmerising exploration of power and transformation, and Spanish dancer María del Mar Suárez (La Chachi) provides a playful take on the Taranto form in Random Taranto, a raw, electric flamenco duet.
In Les Arts Florissants & Amala Dianor Company, Amala Dianor’s choreography seamlessly blends classical, modern and hip hop movement vocabularies, mirroring the contrast within the music. Six singers and four dancers unite past and present in this unique stage creation.
And, in our cinema, be inspired by a collection of short films programmed by International film curators HSEIH I-Hsuan and Emily Shin-Jie Lee with a focus on filmmakers from Taiwan with movement at their heart.
