An unmissable opportunity to see celebrated Guildhall School alumna Alison Balsom work with outstanding trumpet players in this free evening masterclass focusing on Hummel's Trumpet Concerto.
Each student will be working with Alison on a different movement of Hummel's famous concerto, accompanied by piano.
One of the world's finest trumpet players, Alison Balsom OBE has dedicated her career to broadening the artistic horizons of the instrument.
Alison has recorded exclusively with EMI / Warner Classics since 2001, and is a three-time recipient of Germany’s Echo Klassik Award, Gramophone Artist of the Year, and three Classic BRIT awards. She has had hundreds of works written for her by eminent composers.
She is a passionate advocate of the importance of music education, and was awarded an OBE for services to music in 2016.
Come along to this free event to see Balsom share her expertise with Guildhall musicians in the superb acoustics of Milton Court Concert Hall ahead of her performance at this year's Last Night of the Proms.
