Complicit: A Michael Haneke Retrospective

A nerve-jangling tension underpins this Cannes-winning drama where a severe tutor longs to be sexually dominated.

Adapted from Elfriede Jelinek's controversial 1983 novel Haneke bestowed his trademark charged gaze, shocking and uncompromising.

Starring Isabelle Huppert as a severe instructor. At work, she's tightly wound; at home, she longs to be sexually dominated, and considers her pushy student (Benoît Magimel) up to the task.
