Step into the world of Tai Chi and discover the meditative art designed to develop balanced health for the body and mind. Rooted in ancient practice, Tai Chi blends elements of meditation and martial arts into slow, flowing movements that build strength, balance and awareness.
This introductory session offers a chance to try it for yourself, with no previous experience needed. You’ll be guided at a relaxed pace, with a focus on moving with ease and connecting mind and body. Ideal for people of all ages and abilities, this is a gentle and restorative way to find inner balance.

Loose fitting clothes and thin-soled shoes are recommended. Please also note that this session is outdoors.
If you have any health concerns or existing injuries, please discuss with the teacher at the beginning of class and with your healthcare professional if you have any concerns.
The movements are generally slow paced and there are no fast cardio movement although the session will use some movements that require some turning through the waist and legs.

Lakeside Terrace is on Level G and can be reached through the main entrance and Level G foyers without stairs, or via the lift from other floors.
The nearest accessible toilet is on Level G. To reach it from Lakeside Terrace, go through the doors into the Centre and turn left. The toilet is in the corner, opposite the exit to the Curve Gallery and exit ramp to the car parks.
