Senior Community Screening

Embark on a journey between man and dog in Guan Hu’s Cannes Film Festival award-winning masterpiece.

Eddie Peng stars in this drama-thriller as Lang, a former stunt motorcyclist released from jail returning to his hometown in Northwest China. As part of a dog patrol tasked with clearing stray dogs before the 2008 Olympics, he bonds with a black stray. The two lonely souls plunge into a new journey together.

Guan Hu's film won the Un Certain Regard prize at Cannes Film Festival 2024 and beautifully tells the story of ordinary people left behind by the rapid economic development.
