Reprezent Radio present their third live broadcast from our custom-built studio. Expect exclusive sets and special guests as they explore how pirate radio became the heartbeat of local communities.
This broadcast will take a look at how pirate radio shaped identity and culture with musical activism becoming the heartbeat of local communities. This live show explores how stations have thrived since the fight for FM licences and how internet radio continues that legacy today.
Hear stories from DJs and listeners on how pirate radio amplified marginalised voices and how Black Londoners used the airwaves as a tool for political movements.
Expect performances, DJ sets and a celebration of community-led broadcasting.
Joining us as a special guest is British club, radio and sound system DJ Norman Jay, who in the 1980s had involvement with then pirate radio station Kiss FM.
Reprezent Radio is a youth-led London based station championing emerging music, culture, and next-gen talent through fresh, grassroots broadcasting.
The full schedule for this day is TBC.
