Two man looking at each other through a mirror

Tom Blyth and Russell Tovey serve up arresting chemistry as a cop and his target in this 90s New York psychodrama.

In 1990s New York, police officer Lucas (Tom Blyth) spends his days patrolling a shopping mall, tasked with entrapping gay men in public restrooms so they can be arrested for indecency.

During one routine shift, he crosses paths with Andrew (Russell Tovey) and suddenly finds himself unable to carry out his usual mission.

Carmen Emmi’s debut feature unfolds as both a tense psychodrama of surveillance and a devastating portrait of a man at war with himself. Throughout the film, Emmi uses bold editing choices and mixed-format techniques that recall the 1990s, an era filled with targeted, cruel policing.
