A woman is abducted

Yorgos Lanthimos' black comedy, in which a high-flying capitalist (Emma Stone) and a low-stakes conspiracist (Jesse Plemons) clash morally, mentally and physically.

The absurdist director behind Poor Things, The Favourite, The Lobster and Kinds of Kindness returns.

Teddy (Plemons) is convinced that society is about to collapse - and aliens are behind it. Suspecting that the pharmaceutical CEO (Stone) is head of the alien opposition, Teddy takes matters into his own hands, planning to blow the whole conspiracy wide open. A warped quest for justice unfolds, and things get darker, weirder, and more twisted along the way.

Known for pushing the boundaries of storytelling, character absurdity, and with the most unbounded lens use in Hollywood right now, Lanthimos' latest project reunites him with long-term collaborator Emma Stone, who stars alongside Jesse Plemons (Kinds of Kindness, Civil War).
