This is a sound installation with two special performance slots at 7pm Saturday & 3pm Sunday.

Enhance your experience of the conservatory though the lens of sound. Experience the symphony of nature via recordings of different ecosystems featuring live performances responding to the soundscapes
Walking into the Conservatory, you’re hit by lush foliage and the damp, earthy scents akin to the tropics. The acoustic landscape of the natural environment recorded by Louis VI transports you to locations that are stewarded by people who live in harmony with their surroundings.
Over the last year and a half, Louis VI has travelled from Sarayaku, the Amazonic region of Ecuador to Kri Island in Indonesia and Waitukubuli in Dominica. Using his skills as a musician and sound engineer, he’s captured hours of immersive sound at sonically active times; Dawn, Midday, Dusk, and Nighttime in each of the locations.
Experience a unique sound switching between the different soundscapes distinct to your time slot. In the special performance slots, Louis VI and his band will perform live music in response to the field recordings.
All slots will be bookable in advance. The free slots are playback only. The standard slots will feature live music as well as playback.
All audio will be played back over headphones. No entry without headphones.
