Left-Handed Girl (15)

A family drama co-written by Shih-Ching Tsou and Sean Baker, following a mother and her two daughters confronting secrets and new beginnings in Taipei.

Left-Handed Girl follows Shu-Fen (Janel Tsai), a mother who runs a night market stall in Taipei to support her two daughters, I-Ann (Ma Shih Yuan) and I-Jing (Nina Ye). After returning to the city to start a new life, the family faces the challenges of daily survival, school, work, and the pressures of urban life.

As tensions rise, family secrets emerge, testing the bond between mother and daughters. Through their experiences, the women confront past choices and begin to imagine new possibilities for themselves.

The film captures city life and family dynamics with naturalistic performances and a visual style that highlights both the intimacy of home and the bustle of Taipei, offering a grounded portrait of a family in transition. Co-written by Shih-Ching Tsou and Sean Baker.
