ScreenTalk

Kenny Dalglish

Oscar and Bafta-winning Asif Kapadia directs a cinematic portrait of one of Celtic's, Liverpool's, and Scotland's greatest ever football players.

Narrated by Kenny Dalglish himself, and featuring his wife Marina alongside football greats Graeme Souness and Alan Hansen, the film compiles rare archival footage and unseen personal clips to tell the story of a humble hero on and off the pitch.

Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Asif Kapadia (Senna, Amy, Diego Maradona), it celebrates Dalglish’s legacy for lifelong fans and introduces him to a new generation.

Sir Kenny "King Kenny" Dalglish (born 4 March 1951) is regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. During his career, he made 338 appearances for Celtic and 515 for Liverpool, playing as a forward, and earned a record 102 caps for the Scotland national team, scoring 30 goals, also a joint record. Dalglish won the PFA Player of the Year in 1983.

The ScreenTalk will be hosted by Tony Evans.
