Guildhall School: The Winter's Tale

Enter the world of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, a spellbinding journey through jealousy, loss, and forgiveness.

Mariah Gale adapts and directs Shakespeare’s epic tale which unfolds the story of Queen Hermione and her husband King Leontes, whose sudden and groundless jealousy leads him to accuse his lifelong friend of betrayal, condemn his faithful queen, and abandon his new-born daughter.

One of Shakespeare's most poignant works, The Winter's Tale crosses oceans and spans decades as a cast of remarkable characters search for love, hope, and the chance of redemption.

This production of The Winter’s Tale is dedicated to Diana Devlin (1941–2020), former Head of Drama Studies at Guildhall, 1993–2011.

Please note this production contains adult themes and scenes of a distressing nature. Please see the Guildhall School website for full details.
