Useful info
The film screening will allow some movement and noise from young film fans, but please be mindful of other audience’s experience (and please switch off phones).
If your little one needs a break from the screening, please note, we have a selection of books & games in the cinema café for you to use.
The Family Film Week programme aims to screen films from a range of countries, styles and times, introducing a young audience to historical/archive content as well as the latest new releases. There is a suggested minimum age for films, but assessing suitability of any film is always the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
How is this screening relaxed?
A relaxed event takes place in an environment that is specially tailored for a neurodiverse audience, as well as those who find a more informal setting beneficial.
The cinema environment is tailored to the needs of the audience.
For this screening:
- The film will be screened with captions when possible.
- A small number of sensory toys / ear defenders are available on request.
- A quiet space will be set up in a separate area of the foyer for you to use.
- Seating in the cinema will be unallocated and the auditorium doors will be opened a minimum of 15mins before the screening.
A visual guide to our cinemas is available on request – just click on the Visual Stories tab on our Accessible Events page. For more information please contact the Box Office.
