Wicked + Intro from Eve Bannister (PG)

Family Film Club

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Eviro as Glinda and Elphaba

A wickedly good return to Family Film Club with this show-stopping musical, plus an introduction from prop maker on the film, Eve Bannister

Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), misunderstood because of her unusual green skin, and Glinda (Ariana Grande), a popular young woman, gilded by privilege and ambition, forge an unlikely but profound bond.

Following an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads and the two must decide whether they can stand up for what they believe or conform to what they’ve always been known.

Set in pre-Dorothy Oz, this is the perfect chance to catch the first part of the epic musical fantasy on the big screen ahead of the sequel’s release in November.

Look out for our up coming screening of the original The Wizard of Oz in the autumn, plus our first ever art competition for young movie goers!
