Beethoven’s Ninth

Raymond Gubbay Christmas Festival 2025

A portrait of Beethoven in a black suit jacket and a red shirt

A monumental night of music and majesty. Celebrate the power and passion of Beethoven’s greatest works in an unforgettable evening at our Hall.

This all-Beethoven programme features two towering masterpieces performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Christopher Warren-Green.

The evening opens with the bold and commanding Piano Concerto No. 5 ‘Emperor’, a work of heroic spirit and lyrical beauty. Then, experience the full force of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 ‘Choral’, culminating in the electrifying Ode to Joy, a triumphant call for unity, hope, and humanity.

This performance will end at approximately 9:30pm, including an interval.
