Autumn Film Camp
For young people aged 11-16

Join artist Nia Fekri for a week-long workshop exploring film-making processes to make a collaborative 16mm direct animation film from start to finish.
Working as a group over 5 sessions, participants will experiment with texture, rhythm, and motion, bringing their narrative to life frame by frame. Expect a hands-on experience that encourages creative storytelling by manipulating and abstracting pre-recorded film.
No prior knowledge or experience with film is necessary - just a willingness to explore and create.
Nia Fekri is an Iranian-British artist and educator whose work spans moving image, writing, and performance, often reflecting on immigrant experiences and familiar relationships. As an educator and facilitator, Nia’s focus is on collaborative storytelling and speculative exercise through a variety of mediums. She has recently collaborated with UCL Art Museum, The Mosaic Rooms Gallery & the British Film Institute
