Alceu Valença & Orquestra Ouro Preto

Legendary Brazilian Singer & 20-Piece Orchestra

Alceu Valenca on stage with his arms in the air

From the tropical and rural manifestations of Pernambuco to the baroque soul sounds of Minas Gerais, the music of Alceu Valença meets the Ouro Preto Orchestra in the acclaimed Valencianas concert.

Alceu Valença is one of the most influential artists in Brazil. The legendary singer-songwriter is the creator of his own distinctive musical style and is a mesmerizing live performer.

For 40 years, Valença has developed an extensive career releasing 35 albums with over 5 million records sold, creating some of the most iconic Brazilian tracks of all time including Morena Tropicana, Coração Bobo, Anunciação, Taxi Lunar and Belle de Jour

His music melds folk sounds from the northeast of Brazil with hard rock influences and contemporary MPB grooves. His lyrical abilities put him among the masters of Brazilian song writing.

For this very special project, he will be joining forces with the renowned Orquestra Ouro Preto, for a one of a kind performance fusing the Brazilian legend’s talents with a twenty piece orchestra.
