A Complete Unknown (AD) (15)

Timothée Chalamet stars as a young Bob Dylan, navigating his early career in this biographical musical drama from James Mangold.

At the Newport Folk Festival in 1965, a young Bob Dylan (Chalamet) shakes up his act on the folk music scene by going electric and siring rock as the voice of a generation - defining one of the most transformative moments in 20th century music. The film also stars Elle Fanning and features other prominent musical figures such as Woody Guthrie (Scott McNairy), Johnny Cash (Boyd Holbrook), Pete Seeger (Edward Norton) and Joan Baez (Monica Barbaro).

Director James Mangold is known for his versatility, with a rich and varied filmography which moves between genres and consistently features in awards conversations year on year. From Girl, Interrupted (1999) and Walk the Line (2005), to 3:10 to Yuma (2007) and Ford V Ferrari (2019), Mangold is arguably one of the finest Hollywood directors in the business.
