Royal Shakespeare Company

2024–25 Season

Two images, on the left a person in their underpants does a handstand in a room with 70s wallpaper and on the right a person in a suit stands against a green background that evokes the forest.

Two critically-acclaimed shows make their London debut

This winter, the Royal Shakespeare Company return to our stage with two extraordinary plays, The Buddha of Suburbia and A Midsummer Night's Dream

Director Emma Rice brings her unique and joyful style to Hanif Kureishi’s award-winning 1990 novel, exploring family, friends, sex, theatre and, ultimately, belonging, in a critically acclaimed production of The Buddha of Suburbia.

A Midsummer Night's Dream comes to London following a sell-out run in Stratford-upon-Avon. With Mathew Baynton (Ghosts, Horrible Histories) as Bottom, this hilarious production of Shakespeare’s captivating comedy will transport you from deepest midwinter to the most magical of midsummer nights.

New Work at the RSC is generously supported by Hawthornden Foundation and The Drue and H.J. Heinz II Charitable Trust
