The Taste of Things (12A)

Members' Screening

A man stands in front of a woman in a candlelit dining room, in soft evening lighting.

A relationship between long-term colleagues begins to simmer as the heat is turned up in the kitchen, from Norwegian Wood director Anh Hung Tran.

Cook Eugenie (Juliette Binoche) has worked for the renowned gourmet chef Dodin (Benoît Magimel) for the last twenty years. With a shared passion for food and flavour, the long-term colleagues slip into a romance that is delicious as the meals the prepare together.

Directed by Anh Hung Tran who also made the 2010 adaptation of Norwegian Wood, The Taste of Things touches on themes of personal freedom, this intelligent romance is a feast for the eyes and the heart.
