Lisa O’Neill with Britten Sinfonia

Symphony for the Cold Moon

Lisa O'Neill

The compelling folk singer-songwriter Lisa O'Neill returns alongside the Britten Sinfonia performing new orchestrations by Terry Edwards.

County Cavan songwriter Lisa O’Neill returns to the Hall to present an orchestral performance with the Britten Sinfonia. This will be her only show in London in 2024.

Scored by Terry Edwards and conducted by Gabriella Teychenné, Lisa will be performing new orchestrations of songs from her studio albums, Same cloth or not, Pothole in the Sky, Heard a long gone song and All of this is chance. She may even introduce the beginnings of some things new as we approach the end of another year. Recognising the significance of Dec 11th as being in the lunar phase known as the Cold Moon, or the Long Night Moon - the last full moon of the year and symbolic of a death and rebirth cycle.

This performance will end at approximately 9.30pm

Commissioned by the National Concert Hall, Dublin.

Presented by the Barbican.
