Guildhall String Ensemble

Musician holding a violin, with a music stand and score in background

Join the Guildhall String Ensemble for a wonderful programme of works under the direction of violinist, and director and conductor of Concerto Budapest, András Keller.

Shostakovich’s popular Chamber Symphony is followed by Stravinsky’s Apollon musagète, a neoclassical ballet in two tableaux. The performance concludes with Schubert’s Death and the maiden, 'one of the pillars of the chamber music repertoire,' arranged by Mahler after Schubert’s death in 1828.
