Girls Will Be Girls (15) (AD)

A teenager in a strict boarding school nestled in the Himalayas has a sexual awakening as she navigates growing up with an unpredictable mother, in this Indian coming of age drama.

16 year old Mira (Preeti Panigrahi) is discovering desire and romance in the confines of a religious school. She must simultaneously navigate the generational divide with a mother who was never able to come of age herself, making for a very difficult relationship.

Winner of two major awards at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, Shuchi Talati's enriching drama focuses heavily on females relationships, both mother-daughter and those among the friendship groups at the boarding school.
