Kensuke's Kingdom (PG) + Q&A with Michael Morpurgo + Filmmaking team

Family Film Club

We are delighted to present this special Family Film Club screening & Q&A with Michael Morpurgo and the team behind Kensuke's Kingdom.

Join us for a special screening of this fantastic animation, followed by a Q&A with very special guests, author and former Children’s Laureate, Michael Morpurgo, directors Neil Boyle & Kirk Hendry, composer Stuart Hancock and producer Camilla Deakin, hosted by broadcaster and musician, Neil Brand.

The story of a family looking for a fresh start sailing across the Pacific ocean, when their young son Michael is swept away in a storm. Finding himself on a seemingly deserted island, Michael discovers that he and his dog are not the only ones out there.

Adapted from Morpurgo’s novel by the current Children’s Laureate, Frank Cottrell-Boyce, with a rich score by Stuart Hancock, this beautifully drawn story celebrates harmony with nature and the power of friendship. With the voices of Cillian Murphy, Sally Hawkins, Raffey Cassidy and Ken Watanabe.
