In a modern day re-telling, BBC News Presenter Clive Myrie narrates the passion story, with music spanning nearly 1000 years.

The passion story is given a modern-day relevance with music from Hildegard of Bingen, via J S Bach, Handel and Mendelssohn, to present day works by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sir James Macmillan and Judith Bingham.
