Hans Arnold Rothholz, poster designer and graphic artist, immigrated to Britain in 1933 from Germany and belonged to a generation of designers who transformed visual communication in Britain.
He studied at Willesden Technical College and the Reimann School and his career spanned the 1940s to the 1970s.
Many posters were commissions including the 1951 Festival of Britain, London Transport, Ealing Studios and Lyons Corner House. A collection of his poster will be on display and available for purchase. Please note that the Library is closed on Sundays.

The Barbican Libraries are located on Level 2 within the Barbican. They can be accessed from the main building via stairs or lifts from Level G or via Frobisher Crescent from the highwalks.
