Small, Slow But Steady (12A)

A woman stands ready to punch in a dark boxing ring

A deaf boxer fights harder than she has ever had to before when her gym is threatened to close in Shô Miyake adaptation of Keiko Ogasawara's memoir 'Makenaide!'

Keiko (played by Yukino Kishii), a hearing impaired boxer, surprises everyone by winning her first two fights. When the pandemic hits, and the gym's ageing president thinks it will have to close down, Keiko finds herself in her hardest battle yet.

A sports drama made with impeccable emotion and delicacy, Shô Miyake (And Your Bird Can Sing) adapts the memoir of hearing impaired boxer Keiko Ogasawara, bringing it to cinematic life.
