London Symphony Orchestra: Half Six Fix

Beethoven 7 with Sir Antonio Pappano

Sir Antonio Pappano conducting

A triumphantly brilliant symphony to open your evening.

Catch a Beethoven masterwork in 60 minutes, with an introduction from Sir Antonio Pappano, LSO Chief Conductor Designate. The bar is open for this relaxed early-evening concert.

At the first performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No 7, the crowd demanded an immediate encore of the astonishingly beautiful second movement. 21st-century listeners may be familiar with its stirring melody from the climactic moment of the film The King’s Speech.

Beethoven himself wrote that this Symphony was ‘one of my very best’. To hear it live is a thrilling experience.

Sir Antonio Pappano and the LSO bring out the passion of a piece that brims with feeling.

This performance will end at approximately 7.30pm, with no interval.
