A solo exhibition of cityscapes by Anna Dickerson celebrating the mighty River Thames and the London skyline. Drawn from life, these artworks capture a new glass generation of dramatic buildings.
Part of the Totally Thames Festival 2023, Anna Dickerson’s exhibition explores the heart of London from ground level to the roof tops. From the shores of the Thames at low tide to the 15th floor of 120 Fenchurch Street… iconic red buses, cranes, tugboats, all vibrant against the muted London greys. Anna draws with oil pastels, wax crayons, colouring pencils and graphite; they are over laid, woven, blended and a short moment in the life of the Thames is preserved. Drawing from life has always been a part of Anna’s art practise, complementing her sustained studio work.
Totally Thames is an annual season of unique, diverse, and accessible arts and culture throughout the month of September with activity taking place on, beneath, and along the 42 miles London stretch of the River Thames. Please note: The Library is closed on Sundays.
