History of the Martini Tasting with Sipsmith

Members' Event

A sake martini cocktail on a high table looking over the foyers and Barbican shop.

Marvel at the beloved Martini's history and taste a selection of perfectly-mixed cocktails at an evening with Sipsmith.

Join us ahead of World Martini Day to celebrate the famous Martini. Sipsmith's master distiller Jared Brown discusses the fascinating history of the beloved cocktail. Co-author of Shaken Not Stirred: A Celebration of the Martini, Jared describes the recipe to success in making "the elixir of quietude" (E.B. White).

Enjoy a G&T on arrival mixed with Sipsmith's finest London dry gin. Savour a Classic Martini and an Original 1888 Recipe Martini during the tasting, plus enjoy a Vesper Martini to end.

Sipsmith create small, handcrafted batches of distilled spirits in London. Founded in 2009, they continue to inspire a new generation of gin drinkers around the world.

Members can purchase up to two tickets, for themselves plus a guest.

The event will run from approximately 1.5 hours, from 7-8.30pm.
