Still from Wind in the Willows 1983

Adapted from the Kenneth Graeme classic, this beautiful stop motion animation is an archive delight that many parents or grandparents may remember from the 1980s!

Celebrating its 40th year, this charming tale follows the fortunes of Mole, Rat, Toad and Badger as they navigate riverbank life, the open road, brushes with the law and a battle with the Weasels.

A gentle pastoral story, rarely seen, this delicate adaptation celebrates the joys of nature with gentle charm and cheery songs, and features the voice talent of David Jason - as Toad, the flawed motorcar loving amphibian, and Michael Hordern as the grumpy Badger. Made by the internationally renowned animation studio, Cosgrove Hall – of Danger Mouse fame – it won a BAFTA and an Emmy award when it was first aired on ITV in 1983.
