Architecture on Stage

This lecture is part of afterFORM, a series of five talks profiling emerging voices in Swiss architecture that are being presented with support from the Embassy of Switzerland in the United Kingdom.

8000.agency was founded in 2020 by Oliver Burch, Jakob Junghanss and Lukas Ryffel, while graduating at ETH Zürich. Since then, they have been working on transformation processes in Zürich and beyond. Their work connects various scales and fields: from architecture, landscape and urbanism to exhibitions, writings and public walks. 8000.agency teaches at the chair of Jan De Vylder, exploring the topic of urban transformation with students in the 33%-studio. As part of the association ZAS*, they contribute to a critical discourse on contemporary building practice.

Following their talk, 8000.agency will be joined in conversation by Paloma Strelitz, co-founder of Assemble and Creative Director at Patch.

The Architecture Foundation, in association with the Barbican, presents Architecture on Stage – a programme of talks by the world's leading architects.
